Very cute. Thanks!
I played sc2 in beta and it definitely was not this rough. This game has unfinished animations all over the place, placeholder models and textures. Sc2 open beta was basically finished
Not saying it’s bad, this is a small team and SC2 came from one of PC gaming largest developers. But this game is 100% not comparable to SC2 in open beta.
If I recall, SC2 was in “beta” after 7 years of development, and within the year it was released. Totally different situation. That was more of a marketing beta—we are still very early on and in active development.
Thanks so much for writing this up! We're only getting started, but we're glad to see that you are excited about what we're building. The months ahead are going to be exciting--we'll get to showcase our third faction, Tier 3 units, and more.
We appreciate your support and hope you enjoy what's yet to come.
Awesome--we're glad to hear you're enjoying the beta/demo!
A+
Hope you enjoy the game -- our demo is playable on Steam all this week Feb 5-12!
Beta started in 2023 and we never updated this. /facepalm
Super cool stats! My theory/interpretation of these winrates that they are currently skewed towards players who are experiencing the game for the first time.
For early-game, Brute/Gaunt pushes are extremely powerful if you don't know the exact reactions, but I see them as less of an issue at higher levels. (Note that this doesn't mean that new Vanguard players dying so early on isn't a big issue.)
As for late-game, I've been hearing that both factions have extremely powerful tools, but the Vanguard ones are generally a bit easier to use (Deployed units + Vulcans vs Weavers/Imps/Hellbornes)
I'd be curious to see what the stats say for players above certain MMRs/RPs!
